Grey WaterFREE WATER – Greywater recycled from your washing machine is essentially free water. This water would normally go down the drain. An average top loader washing machine servicing a family of four can use around 1000 litres per week, based on 5 or 6 washes. This is about 125 buckets of free water to use on your garden. Waterwheelie ™ recommends you use low or no phosphorus detergents with little or no sodium content. These products are readily available and are much friendlier to your plants. Waterwheelie ™ recommends Dominant brand laundry products, in particular the Double L Supa Liquid, Laundry Liquid and Wool & Fine. These liquids are suitable for use in the Waterwheelie ™ , for both wash and rinse cycles. For a limited time we are giving away a FREE bottle of Dominant's Double L Supa Liquid. This bottle has up to 37 washes for a top loader, or 75 washes in a front loader. For further information see Dominant's website at www.domhome.com.au. EPA Victoria recommends the following when using greywater: Greywater do's • Only use wastewater from baths, showers, hand basins and washing machines preferably the final rinse water).
